Our Mission

Provide sustainable solutions from the beginning of plastic production to the end

We will change the way plastic enters and ends in our environment. We will educate future generations to innovate sustainably.

Our

Additive

Our trade secret additive is composed of organic compounds that attract microbes when placed in microbe-rich environments.

Manufacturing

Our formula is implemented at the production of plastics, transforming forever plastics into sustainable solutions for single use and multiuse plastics.

Testing

Wavos has conducted ASTM D5511 testing with Eden Research Laboratory. Results have shown breakdown with our prototype products at 17% in the first year and continues to accelerate the rate of breakdown. We are estimated at 5 years for biodegradation of our products in a landfill.

Take

Part

Aerobic biodegradation involves the breakdown of organic matter by microorganisms in the presence of oxygen. Anaerobic biodegradation is the breakdown of organic matter by microorganism when oxygen is not present.

Founder: Mckynlie Drummond Chafin

McKynlie is a dedicated mother and Florida native, committed to creating sustainable solutions that address the entire lifecycle of plastics—from production to waste management. Her passion for family, food, and community fuels her drive to develop products that make a meaningful impact on protecting the planet for future generations. In 2019, she founded Wavos Inc, at a time when single-use plastics seemed unavoidable. Despite the surge in plastic production during the pandemic and its continued growth, McKynlie pioneered a breakthrough with a two-ounce ramekin prototype made using an organic additive. By 2024, Wavos Inc. had expanded to offer a full product line for Florida state parks. Together with her team, she is excited to share this journey of environmental stewardship, working to protect the planet, one innovative product at a time.

At Wavos Inc., we’ve developed a biodegradable product that breaks down faster in landfills, thanks to an organic additive. We also use renewable energy in production, making it both eco-friendly and functional.
